February Challenge!

Over at Scrapbook Oasis Melita will be issuing monthly All About Me challenges. After January's Resolution challenge, she issued a February LOVE themed challenge with a twist. No Red and No Hearts. Using several techniques inspired by Melita, I did a layout about What I Love Most About Being a MOM.



Melita did a photo similar to this in one of her layouts where the text was layered on top of the photo using a digital photo editing software. I chose to write phrases that remind me how fun being a mommy is. I chose to use the Prima Urban Coture line of papers and reverse matted the photo. Here is a close up of the title:

SuperScrap SUNDAY!!!!!

I had BIG BIG plans for a Super Scrappy weekend during the BIG GAME - I did fall short of my goal but do have some new LO's to post.

Friday we had TWO scrappy friends from the Rusty Pickle DT come and hang out with us! What a blast - Dick's Wings and Beer make for LOTS of laughs with Karen and Amanda. We were joined by lots of our other scrappy friends - FUN NIGHT WITH THE GIRLS!!!

Amanda is in transition, and unfortunately her scrappy stuff is in storage - but LUCKY FOR ME I convinced her to do one of my layouts and I NOW HAVE AN AMANDA O ORIGINAL!!!




I managed to get TWO Pink Paislee layouts done Friday night. Both were inspired by Kate Watson's stuff on her blog. NOT NEARLY as good though. ha ha

Sunday DH and I headed to Michaels for their 30% off paper packs sale and I racked up on some goodies in preparation for my SUPER SUNDAY cropathon while he was out watching THE BIG GAME. Unfortunately those with two small children should not have such high hopes to scrap at home! LOL Before I knew it, it was 8:00 and after wrestling my 3 yo to bed, I FINALLY started scrappin. Amanda inspired me to scrap more of my basic grey, so I managed to get these two layouts finished.
