Happy New Year!!!

Croppin in the new year!!! I started off 2009 on the right foot with an all day crop with my friends at TCS on the 2nd. I was armed with 26 page kits and eager to get thru as many as possible. I was in a NO FRILLS state of mind and was focused on getting some simple layouts done. I am committed to simplifying my scrap stash in 2009, which means NO BUYING NEW until I have used up what I already have. There's no better way to do that than GETTIN YOUR SCRAP ON!!! Here are some NO FRILLS pages that I've posted on Scrapbook Oasis.

Finishing up that CI Caution Girl Collection, and mixed it with a little ROCK STAR papers and embellies.

Cherry Arte!! I love this line of cherry arte and how it complimented these photos of PLAY DAY at my daughter's school. I used Cosmo Cricket Blackboard letters and dotted them to match Tessa Anne's chipboard swirls. I also embellished with polka-dotted doodlebug buttons and K& Co Butterflies. I used Wallet Sized photos to incorporate all of the events of Play Day.

Champion! This LO was put together very quickly with American Crafts pp and embellies.

Just add water. Scenic Route with just a strip of bazzil and some bling... no fuss LO.

Birthday Boy! The last bit of this Scenic Route Paper - I was so focused on the fact that it was Swimming/Summer themed that I never thought to use it with other photos. These have sat in my procrastination pile for two years because the bright colored frosting was so hard to coordinate. I paired them together and added a strip of bazzill cardstock and a makeshift paper piecing cupcake with some bling, doodling and a strip of ric rack.

Procrastination Layout!!! I loved this photo of my son, and knew that I wanted to use this Dream Street paper, but could never bring myself to actually COMMIT because I didnt want to overwhelm the large photo. I finally decided on just using a couple of the coordinating embellishments and just leaving it alone. Its plain and simple, but the photo is my favorite part.

Game Night!! These baseball game photos have sat in my procrastination pile for quite some time too. Mainly because I felt as though I needed to use BASEBALL themed papers/embellishments to go with it, and I couldnt find any that I liked. Once I set aside the fact that they were baseball pictures, I paired them with FUN paper that complimented the colors in the photos. This is the Prima Dude collection of pp and embellishments.

WHEELS!!! My son got this mini 4 wheeler for his birthday. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do with this Cherry Arte paper. I used some CI embellies to go with it.

MR COOL - more Cherry Arte! I actually think this is the last of it. I have a REALLY HARD TIME doing BOY themed layouts. I couldnt think of anything else to do with this...so I may go back later on and play with it. But for now.....its just this.
