What's in a name?

Our blog challenge this week was to post about our middle name and how we got it...mine is pretty simple. My parents were hoping for a boy - and had planned to name me after my father - so my name would have been Robert Michael - but when I was born they had to change it to Robin Michelle.

My son is named after his father - Manuel - and shares the nickname Manny. Neither my husband, his siblings or his Father have a middle name... and according to the Birth Certificate office at the hospital, we had to use the EXACT name to be considered a Jr. legally. I realize that he'll more than likely encounter issues here and there by not having a middle name, but I like the fact that he is unique.
